i discovered this gem of an auction while getting my weekly fix of bikesnob NYC.
after carefully studying the parts and specs, Q & A's, i'm quite sure it was a brutal force of evil that cancelled this auction. either that or a hungry monkey.

so, it's cold season, again.
this past year, i've had so many colds and flu, that i think my immune system would be about on top of it's game but now, sadly, i think i might just be graced, yet again, with another one.
a couple of my friends in canada, absolutely swear by this
i suppose since now, i know it's not available just for the canadian market, i should jump in the car and roll around to walgreens to get some. (btw- i'm a hugh suck when it comes to getting sick)
would you come to my house and feed me chicken soup and control to remote for me?...
;-)
a poem i hope he doesn't mind i share:
Ripley
The cadets believed in biology. Seriously,
they took their places in venn diagram of sexuality.
She knew that her body could disobey her
and the moon was a lump of cold rock.
On spare evenings she sat by the training ground
watching pylons stitch up the horizon.
Every time a spaceman died
she found a new star in the sky.
Sometimes she saw her father’s face
corroded in the soft glare of galaxies.
In her saddest dreams
she was straddled by the fierce constellations.
The lowing in her belly
was a hunger she would never answer.
She followed its echo straight up. The sky,
slavering stars, opened its vast maw to meet her.
-i'm having (if you will) something of a blog binge.
here's a W4M craigslist post i wrote several years ago. since then, i've posted it on CL in a few major cities in north america and europe. it's become much more than a search for a soul mate. this is my fascination for people and how they respond. who they say they are and how they interpret what i've wrote..
and some people, just completely miss the point.
BTW- i just recently learned how to use commas, so please be kind enough to excuse the grammer.
lol.
perhaps you like playing/fooling around in toy stores, laughing in stitches. getting lost in time, stopping time, making time...
you've read everything thing from Suess to Hesse.
you're somewhere between right and left & bad and good.
you also have a great sense of humor.. you'd play along after telling you i'd like to start a band with only children's instruments (we'd do it too!)... secretly, we'd go to the park in the middle of the night to recite tongue twisters & teach ourselves to juggle balls in pursuit of other dreams.
enjoying sports such as climbing, ping-pong & mini-golf... you'll play anywhere-anytime even if imaginary.
roller coasters, beautiful -bright colorful lights, erratic sometimes volatile sounds, compelling smells & the smallest of gadgets delight you.
we go to shows/gigs but never feel the need of
obligation, only distraction. wandering around
aimlessly by ourselves to meet up at the end of the bar, telling our
silly stories of whom we've met and what we've learned... or unlearned.
in films, we are the first of our friends to see the
corporation/napoleon dynamite/saddest music in the world & i
whisper to you how i LOVE those little theaters at the opera plaza.
sometimes
we get carried away in conversations from everything non-sensical to
the masterminding of the human race in blinding submission of corporate
slavery to the eye in the pyramid.. tho we never tell anyone of some of
our more secret conversations.
games- scrabble to chess to poker, billiards and more. subtle
NLP/jedi mind tricks where we playfully walk into a room full of
strangers, become our own mysterious, unknown & charming identities
charismatically devouring others ideas of who we may have been to what
we professed to have become.
sound fun?
you have an extensive knowledge of music, obscure art, films, food and culture. you're curious about what i'm listening to and sometimes it comes down to rock- paper- scissors and/or thumb wrestling to resolve who plays what next.
food will find you everywhere from that thai restaurant on the corner with
gorgeous green curry to delicate homemade apple pie on the windowsill.
perhaps
you find yourself drawn to symbolism. mystical shapes, figures, colors,
eyeballs & bent forks. yeah? i see it too.
you can be absorbed by the small, hidden pleasures that are usually taken for granted, finding the slightest details important.
you're the type of person who always looks up when walking down the street, noticing the architecture, people and their moods, the sky, street art, how you feel & how your desires & disposition change over the years while taking photographs with your mind.
you're non-judgmental and liberated.. you even know who jean pierre jeunet is.
ultimately we learn from one another.
we share ideas, thoughts, fantasies.. you agree when i say "honesty & script is sexy BUT trust & process is sexier".
you have a refined tho broad taste and daily regime that would
include laughing at yourself, creating & daydreaming... but more...
you take care of your mind, body and spirit.
i adore it when you recite great quotes from films, cartoons or songs..
you make me laugh, smile, contemplate, gravitate...
Though not subject to limitations, i'm looking for intimate conversation over intimate physical encounters.
i'd be tempted to say even if there was a sexual attraction we'd hold off until the second when we would rather eat GLASS than leave it for another moment.
BOLD, fun, enigmatic & sophisticated personalities need apply, i think i want to know you.
Bonus* if musically/artistically inclined.
(send a pic?)
one time i even found a M4W listing that was identical (just search for "zombies"). he used MY words with only few details changed. some people just email to critique my "novel" or grammatical errors.
who knows- maybe one day i'll release a publication of this collection of responses.
for all you folks out there that used to read MAD during recess in grade 2.. please click link for a CBC tribute to Don Martin.
i'd like to invite you to join me for a moment holiday sharing ideas. i found some eco friendly ideas to explore during this gift giving holiday season.

Sleek, powerful, unearthly, and very cool - this futuristic award winning solar car is an exciting way to demonstrate the use of alternative energy.
i realized this evening that not only do i love a fine red wine, i love to meet charming british men with a good sense of humor.
since getting back to marin from my taxing drive (vacation?) to canada and back, i've been suffering from "the lingering cold". most of my day was spent in the bedroom drinking tea and eating comforting foods including the informal catering made for the film crew at the house..
pad (my roommate) and his friends from film class had started preparing the previous night for the mill valley film festival cinemasports. the event is to take place saturday morning october 6th at 9am. once the three ingredients for the film is revealed, the participants have until 7pm to complete and submit their 3.5 min film to the festival.
during the bustling of the filming, editing etc etc, i watched various borrowed feel good films (monsters, inc., it's a mad mad mad mad world & footloose) i became increasingly interested in what was going on in the "outside" world, not to mention my own house.
once i de-hermitified myself, i soon made friends with a couple of the people in the production. we got talking and i decided to head out to the film festival with them.
we stopped at a wonderful punjabi restaurant in mill valley called "avatars". the food was great! spicy indian food was just what i needed. we then headed off to the theatre, grabbed seats and shortly before the film(s) started, i went out to the reception for a glass of wine. the gentleman at the counter was very charming.. i think at several points of the transaction/conversation i started blushing. went back to the seats "have you heard of a monstrell?", a couple of no replies then let the films begin!
about 4 short films into the viewing, the time came. "mr.beezle" was starting. i heard lisa say in her startled voice "no sound!". they paused the film, started a new one and lisa frantically grabbed her bag and replaced the DV tape they had with another copy in the film lab upstairs. another try, again "no sound!!". at this point i turned around and said "i'm sorry". i really felt for the team, i knew they were upset.
more films played then the crowd started chanting "mr. beezle, mr beezle!". we were all crossing our fingers but knew no sound was going to happen and then film started. lisa was crouched next to aaron's chair and they did a live voice over for the film including sound effects!
it was the most brilliant film of the cinemasports and what a charming way to have the film seen. i was so happy it worked out beautifully in the end.
i'm tired, end of story.
..suppose i should go back for another monstrell some night soon ;-)
the first time i had ever heard of cornelius, i was living in vancover.
my boyfriend dale had a passion for music and his flavour at the time was indie pop/rock, it had a huge influence on me.
at one point, this blonde redhead would lay on the floor melting into pavement like she was built to spill, cross bones style.
remember the everything is nice matador compilation? that was my first taste of cornelius. oddly i don't remember that song influencing my taste as many of the others, but i never forgot about it.
cornelius played in san francisco last night.
i was at class until 9:15p, got a txt msg from chris saying that sound check just happened and i better hurry. problem was, i was in oakland.
driving. speeding.
listening to sensuous on my iPod.
faster. closer.
it took me twenty minutes to get from oakland to bimbos on columbus. record speeds of 78 in trelaine (my prius) on the bay bridge but what?
we couldn't find parking and i was losing hope of even catching the end of the show.
to my relief, the door man said there was about 45 mins left.
i order a glass of chardonnay and wow, standing at the back wall so i could see and hear every moment, every frequency, every beautifully lighted detail.
the back wall of the stage was set up as 8 or so horizontal strips of lights, with graphics and video that it was without doubt the most exceptional amalgamation of light, sound and visuals that i have seen in a LONG time.
cornelius and his band mates were all dressed in white mod jumpsuits. at one point they busted out this little black sampler box that played the donkey kong theme song, awesome!
would you be shocked if i said it was better than plaid at nasa? i am.
i've seen thousands of shows, and this my friends, was almost the best show i had ever seen in my life.
i found some photos on flickr here
NEW YORK, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Paris Hilton's naked "corpse" could provide an invaluable service to students preparing for prom this season.
